About this event

Women in leadership roles: How can they leverage their roles to benefit the community and organisation?

The World Economic Forum has reported the gender gap in AI professionals to be more than three times and has expressed concern that “unless women are encouraged to enter the field of science, technology and engineering, the gender skill gap could widen”.

MKAI understands the gravity of the AI gender gap and the urgency of making substantive changes while this technology is in its nascent stages, intending to make AI a more inclusive technology that benefits all of society.

We believe that addressing the barriers women face in AI will be beneficial to society and economically sensible.

WIM is a monthly women-only event that promotes gender diversity within AI and helps identify and remove barriers that prevent women from advancing to leadership roles. It is a psychologically safe space where women can express themselves freely and open their hearts. You don’t have to know the jargon and technicalities of AI to join. If you want to learn, share your experiences, and be in a place where you can find people who understand what you’ve been through in your career, join us.

This month’s discussion will address the importance of having more women in leadership roles and how they can leverage their roles to benefit the community and organisation. An S&P Global research on the impact of female leadership shows that women-led companies produce bigger share price gains, stronger revenue growth, and higher profits. And those are only numbers, the effect can be wider and much more significant.
